How long have you been competing or partaking in your sport? 
Whether my ambition is in relation to business, sport or personal I am determined to fulfil it! Sport has been an integral part of my life both professionally [P.E. teacher] and personally. I have competed in triathlons for many years reaching GB age group across a variety of distances and for the last two years competed as a professional Ironman triathlete, now as a semi-professional. I continue to compete in various endurance events across the globe. I have represented regional and national standard in Athletics, Cross Country, Hockey and Netball.

Where do you call home? 

Favourite event or place to practice your sport? 
I train on the Welsh road, trails, seas, lakes…anywhere that meets the training needs, the changeable weather and hilly terrain helps of course! My favourite event would be the iconic IRONMAN Wales. Having completed this three times, I may make a return visit one year! I also thrive on local, low key competitions that test the mental tenacity and physical ability.

What is your focus within your sport (what sub-discipline of your sport do you do most)? 
I spread the volume and frequency of training equally over each discipline within triathlon, i.e. 3 x swim, bike and run session, with 2 strength sessions. Pending the season focus, there may be an emphasis on one sport over another, which may include more technique/endurance, etc.

Why do you like that aspect the most? 
I like all elements of triathlon equally, as within each discipline there are areas to focus on, these areas shift as the season progresses towards the peak/priority race.

Anything else you would like to add about yourself or your sport? 
I am the Director of BFunctional business, that provides Performance Coaching and Personal Training. The premise of the BFunctional services is FUNCTIONAL and HOLISTIC i.e. provide a complete service that has a positive transfer to health and performance of the athlete’s daily tasks, their occupation, their performance and for improved resilience to injury.

Working in the health, fitness and sport industry is both an art and a science. I recently achieved IRONMAN Certified Coach status which has attracted a wide range of athletes from all corners of the globe via the IRONMAN Coach Match initiative. Focusing specifically on IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 events on the international circuit. I currently work with athletes across a range of abilities, backgrounds, ages and race goals.

Do you promote an annual race? 
I am leading an expedition to Kilimanjaro in October 2018 with the intention of raising money for African orphanages through partner charity Heart of Africa.
